Welcome to VintageRadio.com! As a collector myself, I know first and foremost that we collectors like to collect, so classified ads are a centerpiece of our site. We are a lot more than that though. You will find a full featured forum, links directory, blog, photo gallery, articles page, and events calendar. As a new site, you will find many of these features lightly populated. We need your participation to make this site work! We also welcome former users of some sites that were associated with domains names that are now forwarded here.
All classified ads are FREE! It is possible that there will be a very small $1-5 charge for ads at some point in the future but it will never be much and many ads would remain free. All other features are and will remain absolutely free. There will never be a subscription fee or anything that is located behind password protection from your view!
Please feel free to post something (anything!) in the forum. Send us some pictures to post or tell us about your radio, vintage electronic, or hamfest event so we can tell everyone else. If you have a website, please consider listing your site in our links directory. It is free and will likely help a little with the search engine rankings of your site too. A reciprocal link is appreciated but it isn't required.
We would like your input! What can we do to make this site more useful for you? What improvements or additions would you like to see? This is version 1.0 and there will some changes and additions later.
A couple of quick operational notes are in order: In the future, if you set up an account on the main page, that will automatically log you in to the forum page. As of now, the forum does require an independent log-in though. Other pages, such as the links and news pages, which you won't typically need to log into frequently do require independent log-ins to post links or articles. If you want to post in the blog or directly add events to the events page, let me know and I will add you as a user and get you log-in credentials.
We are a somewhat commercial site but we have no illusion that a site about vintage and antique radio will make us rich. We’d be doing something else if we were trying for that goal! We do hope to be a useful addition to the resources that you have available for radio collecting.
Oh, and, by the way, if you do need any advertising of the display variety let us know. It’s real cheap! If you have a major non-profit radio event we'll be glad to donate space during our start-up. We should have about 700 monthly organic visits based on this domain name and some that we own are forwarded to it.
