Description

Here is an unusual item.  It is a seemingly homemade portable microphone.  It thought it was telephone related at forst and, indeed it may have been designed for some telephone test use.  It uses an early telephone type carbon microphone that was doubtlessly used for other functions too in the early days.  It has a switch to turn on the single 'D' cell battery power source that carbon microphones require and a Diatonik brand audio output transformer.  The transformer is eclosed in a blck crinkle painted case and looks to be of high quality.  The battery holder is the neatly cut off bottom of a now antique flashlite.  Also in the case is cloth cord with pin type connectors that mate to the top of this unit.  Whether this was used for telephone, public address, broadcasting, or perhaps was just used for radio 'party tricks' to put ones voice over a radio is a mystery.  It is 8"H x 10"W x 3.5"D in size.  The microphone element is marked '294W'.  It would have worked for any of those applications.  It is very nicely made!

Actual shipping costs are additional.  There is NO 'handling fee'.  This item may be returned for a period of seven days provided it is returned in the like condition that it was sent.  I can in no way be responsible for uninsured items.
